These Terms govern your use of Anode's website and desktop application (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
Anode is an AI assistant that helps you write, simulate, and flash firmware to microcontrollers (Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, and similar boards). Features may change as we improve the product.
You need an account to use the Service. You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure. Accounts are for a single person; don't share them.
The plan includes a monthly allowance of AI usage to keep the Service sustainable. If you reach the allowance, AI features may pause until the next cycle, or you may use your own AI provider key. We may apply reasonable rate limits to prevent abuse.
Don't use the Service for unlawful purposes, to infringe others' rights, to attempt to bypass payment or usage limits, or to abuse the underlying AI providers. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
AI-generated firmware can contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing all code before compiling or flashing it to hardware. Flashing firmware carries inherent risk to your devices. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage to hardware, data loss, or other losses arising from use of the Service or its output.
We own the Anode application, website, and brand. You own the sketches and firmware you create, including AI-generated output you receive — subject to the AI providers' terms. You grant us permission to process your content as needed to operate the Service.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service.
We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, an in-app or email notice. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

These Terms are provided in good faith for an early-access product and are not legal advice; we recommend review by qualified counsel before scaling.
